Sunshine, a VW Red soft top Beetle, a 14th Century Refectory and a contemporary club… Chris and Katie’s wedding had it all.
A wedding in York usually means olde worlde tradition in the shadow of the York Minster but Katie and Chris added their own contemporary twist to their gorgeous wedding last week when they got hitched at Bedern Hall. Katie, looking amazing with her long veil and fabulous gown, arrived at the ceremony chauffered in the family VW by her dad. Awww. Apparently he’d been slaving away making sure the bright red convertible was ready in time for the big day.
The bridesmaids all wore different dresses and arrived in a cool camper van.
After a lovely little ceremony at Bedern Hall, Katie, Chris and I went out on the streets of York for some urban shots before we headed over to the modern KP Club in Pocklington. I love it there. Lots of quirkiness, cool furniture and ace wallpaper. And not a chair cover in sight. Fab.
Thanks to Katie and Chris for being ace and inviting me along to share their big day. x
