East Riddlesden Hall Wedding Photographer
I pretty much know that if a couple invite me to a pub to drink beer 18 months before their wedding, it usually means there’s going to be one hell of a party!
Kit and Chloe’s wedding at East Riddlesden Hall did not disappoint!
Firstly… MEN IN KILTS!!!
I bloody love a good ceilidh anyway but, add to that slightly inebriated people, well it doesn’t get any better really does it?
But before the dancing, there was some beautiful make up and hair by Victoria Farr, a very fine selection of biscuits and mugs of tea, a big old vintage bus and a church. St Stephen’s in Steeton to be exact. Twice I’ve found myself there this year.
Chloe looked beautiful in her vintage style gown from the lovely Heidi at Lace and Co, and her wintery bouquet and venue styling were by the talented Lynnie at Stems Design. Basically, this wedding was my dream come true. Excellent venue, my favourite MUA, my favourite florist, my favourite dress shop and then, to top it all, HOG AND APPLE boys! Sheesh!
After a very personal service at Kit and Chloe’s local church, there was a fountain of confetti before we hailed the bus and headed off to the Airedale Barn. As an East Riddlesden Hall Wedding Photographer, it means that I know all the good nooks and crannies of the venue and its’ grounds and, as we had the perfect weather, it made for some beautiful pictures – you can’t beat a lovely autumnal golden afternoon!
Once we’d stuffed our faces with canapes, drunk some ale and taken a few pictures, it was time for speeches… firstly, there was some emotional tears… and then… something I’ve never actually experienced before, I was in tears.. of laughter.. Kit’s best man and his sound effects were quite brilliant! I am slightly wondering how Chloe puts up with Kit now though…
Then of course, it was time for the ceilidh! YES! The Price of my Pig set about filling the floor as I risked life and limb trying to photograph the madness. I should be paid danger money!
Let’s just say it got a bit sweaty and a bit competitive!
Huge thanks to Kit and Chloe for dragging to me Leeds all those months back to force me to drink ale. And for letting me be their East Riddlesden Wedding Photographer. Here’s some of my favourite pictures from the day.
