I love working at Rise Hall. Not only is it an amazing venue for light, but it’s run by my crazy friend Helen who goes all out to ensure weddings at Rise are beautiful and full of personal touches. Add to that mix the funny and charming Lucy and Neil, well you have a winning combination.
Theirs is an incredible story of love on the hospital wards. They are beautiful genuine people who breathe fun wherever they go.. and music… Neil’s amazing guitar buttonhole was just brilliant and reflected his passion for the other love in his life. He even rocked out with the band – not bad going considering I think there might have been a drink or two imbibed during the day.
All Lucy’s girls looked incredibly chic in their pale grey gowns and how cute are those flower girls?
Lucy looked mighty fine in her Suzanne Neville gown from Whiteroom bridal, and they had a heartfelt ceremony, conducted by the best rev in the business Andy, at Rise Church before heading back to party at Rise Hall.
Big shout out to Bows Hair and Beauty who were on hand for hair and to Sara Golding for make up and to the lovely Sarah and her amazing ladies at The Floral Lounge for all their gorgeous blooms.
Big kisses go to Angela and Angela… the Mums! Who made me feel like part of the family and hopefully I made them laugh a little bit. If ever there is a vacancy in the family ladies for an adopted older daughter, let me know and I’ll be over like a shot.
And finally to the mental case and incredibly talented film maker Mr Philip White, who is a giant pain in the arse but calls a spade a spade.. which is just how I like it. Thanks for working round me mate and letting me swear at you. We had the best shoes!
So here’s some of my favourite shots from The Ledge’s big day.. rock n roll baby!
