Any wedding where the bride walks down the aisle in the pouring rain to the sound of Bjork is a total winner for me. And any wedding where they sign the register to the dulcet tones of Nick Cave is also gonna be high on my list. Throw in some Radiohead, Ben Folds and some chocolate moustaches… well, you can see why I loved Louisa & Ed’s wedding so much.
They got hitched amid the rain at Masson Farm in the Swallow Barn in Matlock, Derbyshire. Then there was some tipi action. And halfway through shooting the bride and groom portraits, the sun came out.
huzzah!
Then were was a bbq with lots of lovely sausages from locally reared pigs… nom. There was some awesome cake (made by Lou to her grandma’s age old recipe), lots of diy details (did I mention the chief bridesmaid brought her very own glue gun to the hotel?) and lots and lots of pinwheels.
All very awesome indeed. I even got to share a few laughs with make-up artist extraordinaire Jo Bilham and battle it out with the hairspray with the rather lovely hair stylist Kizzy Edkins. Congrats to Ed and Lou… you looked amazing by the way. Thanks for letting me tag along on your big day. x
