YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE MANSION LEEDS
Gerri & Garry’s Relaxed autumn wedding at The Mansion, Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Gerri and Garry’s wedding at the Mansion in Leeds was a little bit special. Mainly because Gerri’s brother is my good mate Tim. Tim, trombone player extraordinaire, has danced, sung and played his way through many of my clients weddings with the New York Brass Band over the last few years. Last year, we hung out at Glastonbury together (me eating his ginger cake and handing him warm beer) whilst filming at amazing places such as Hell Stage and opening the Greenpeace stage. There is never a dull moment with Tim and the New York Brass Band. You can pretty much guarantee the dance floor will be filled.
So of course, it made perfect sense that Tim should bring NYBB to play at his sister’s wedding at the Mansion. And it was a bloody great party.
First off, I got to meet his lovely family (Tim’s dad plays a mean bit of piano by the way) and hang out with Gerri and her bridesmaids as she had her make up and hair done. Then it was on with the beautiful lace dress and gold sandals, before heading out of the door to their local church. Gerri’s dad Paul, walked his gorgeous daughter proudly down the aisle and even squeezed in a bit of musical entertainment whilst Gerri and Garry signed the register. Then it was a quick detour to Otley Chevin for some portraits and onto The Mansion in Roundhay Park, Leeds for a proper knees up.
Thanks so much to the amazing Tim for putting me in touch with his sister, and of course to all the Hurst family for making me incredibly welcome. Here’s some of my favourite shots of the day.
