2016 Weddings
Yorkshire wedding whotographer – 2016 you have been incredible. Despite losing some of my favourite cultural heroes, this past year has brought me beautiful clients, amazing friends and more than enough shenanigans.
As a Yorkshire Wedding Photographer, I’ve shot in some amazing venues (including the first wedding at the Normans in York), tripped the light fantastic in the iconic Claridges, flew to Nice and the South of France to film with some of my best friends in the world, and made some new friends along the way.
I have boogied the night away at over 30 weddings, shot portraits in the pouring rain, and hugged more bridesmaids than I care to remember. I’ve had the best of times.
This year also saw me venture into that new fangled film thing thanks to my buddies the New York Brass Band, who invited me along to Glastonbury and insisted I did more than just drink cider. Since then I’ve filmed a handful of weddings and I’ll be taking on another handful this year alongside my normal photography work as a yorkshire Wedding Photographer.
Thank you to all of my amazing clients who allowed me into their lives for one crazy day, and then couldn’t get rid of me again. Thank you for having the courage and faith to let me do my thing in my own inimitable way. Thank you to their families for making me feel so welcome at every single wedding, and thank you to every single one of those shouty bridesmaids and groomsmen who helped me organise group shots – you were all bloody terrific. A massive shout out to all those giant idiots who provide me with support along the way – you know who you are and I couldn’t do any of this without you.
I consider myself to be especially lucky that I get to do this as my job. There is simply no better occupation in the world. I cannot wait to see what madness 2017 brings. I hope it’s just as fun packed, crazy, gorgeous and downright unforgettable as last year.
This is a selection of some of my favourite moments from 2016 with the highlights reel at the top of the post.
