Sometimes when I go to work, it’s more of a party. Take Dil and Laura for instance. They got hitched recently at the Cheerful Chilli in Otley. A beautiful rustic wedding venue surrounded by fields slap bang in the middle of the Otley Chevin. I met them at the lovely Sara and Will’s Narnia wedding at Hodsock Priory last year (I do believe Dil was wearing an Otter costume at the time!) so I knew the party would be mental… and it didn’t disappoint. For a brief moment or two, I forgot that I was supposed to be working, and was thoroughly enjoying myself – what with the fine wine, ace veggie food, excellent company and crowd surfing… well, I was in my bloody element.

I’d met quite a few of the guests before too which made the dancing even more crazy and it took all my will power not to ditch the car at the venue and get drunk with these lot. They are the best kind of party animals and this is why I love my job. I get to hang out with gorgeous, fun people and at the same time, I get to photograph a monumental day in their lives. I love it.

So apologies for the extra long post. Big shout outs to Lynne at Stems for creating the awesome flower arch with the book theme, to Rachel at Simply Vintage who made the Cheerful Chilli look even more romantic, to the staff at the venue who let us party like animals til the wee hours and to Dr Will and Sara for being excellent table mates.
