If you’re going to have the classiest wedding in the world, you may as well book the classiest joint in England. The rather beautiful Charlotte and her fella Joe chose the quintessentially British institution that is Claridges in London to host their wedding. If you’ve never been for afternoon champagne tea at Claridges, you’re missing a treat. They also do a nice line in weddings!
Charlotte contacted me after seeing my work on Facebook of all places and just over a year later, we found ourselves in a suite in London’s prestigious hotel getting ready for her wedding to Joe. Paul and Jamie had brought all their hair styling expertise from Manchester to make sure Charlotte was beautifully coiffured and ensured she kept her feet well and truly on the ground by having some lively Northern banter!
And then it was time for THAT dress. Jeez. If you’re going to buy an amazing dress, you may as well go the whole hog eh? Charlotte looked stunning in her Marchesa gown adorned with ruffled flowers and a long veil. Then we hopped round the corner to the Love Actually Church, Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair, where Joe just about managed to hold it all together for a lovely ceremony.
Then it was back to the Drawing Room and French Salon for dinner and dancing. And blimey, these lot know how to party!
Here’s a few of my favourite photos from the day. Thanks so much to Joe and his tasty Cookie wife for having me around and a big shout out to Ian Wallace for being my wing man for the day and lighting all my shots – he’s the best!
