Take one festival loving bride, add a groom in a tweed suit, a woodland setting, a Papakata tipi and the good old British weather… you got yourselves a rainy, sunny, beautiful, fun filled  wedding extravaganza.

Grace and Dan (never ones to do something by halves) embraced the mud (like all good festival goers) and planned their wedding in a perfect woodland glade over at Camp Katur at the Camp Hill Estate in Bedale. There was cider, there was BBQ  from the Bouncing Hogs, and of course, the obligatory wellies.

After a mad dash to the church in the pouring rain and a somewhat interesting journey in a VW camper van , they arrived at Camp Katur no worse for wear and ready for a ramble through the woods.

Brothers on the Slide provided some slick soul music and we all pulled some excellent moves on the dance floor. Thanks to Grace and Dan for making me laugh my ass off all day long despite the weather, and to Katie (hair dresser extraordinaire), Kate, Zenia and Katharine who all looked gorgeous and didn’t mind one bit when the mud began to stick.
