I love the Malmaison in Leeds… it’s got my kind of light…. It’s all dark and moody and contemporary. The gorgeous Kate had her bridal preparations there and we found 15 minutes to do some portraits of her in her amazing vintage inspired gown and her beautiful ‘white swan’ inspired jacket created for her by her talented mum.
And then it was off to Calverley for a church service where Dan was waiting patiently, before we headed off to the rustic Airedale barn at the National Trust’s East Riddlesden Hall which I think has become my second home I shoot there so often.
We did some breakdancing in the bottom field, Kate got to drive the golf buggy, and we generally just clowned around all day. Pretty much my perfect kinda wedding.
Thanks to Dan and Kate (the elegant white swan) and their families (not to mention their ace bridesmaids who made me laugh all day long) for being so bloody lovely.
Here’s my favourites from the day.
