The thing with weddings is, it doesn’t really matter where you get married. Whether you choose a big old tipi, the middle of a field, in a woodland, amid the high rises of a city centre, a country estate, an epic manor house or a period hotel, what matters most is friends, family and fun.
Leigh and Mark chose the wood panelled Monk Fryston Hall near Selby for their nuptials and whilst the ceremony was lovely (yeah Mark, we saw you trying to hold it together), it was the epic party afterwards that made it.
There was a cute dog, an amazing blue cake, and me…. wading into knee deep water…. again!
Plus I got to hang out with my old clients Ed and Lou whose wedding I shot earlier this year and dance like no-one was watching.
Massive thanks to Leigh and Mark for making me laugh and allowing me to drag them through nettles and woodland to get some gorgeous portraits, and to Leigh’s mum for ensuring my glass was never empty.
Here’s a few of my favourite shots from the day.
