Tasha and Craig’s wedding was two completely different extremes. On one hand you have the historical romantic backdrop of Kirkstall Abbey. And then you have the industrial cool of New Craven Hall.
It’s like having best of both worlds. We got some traditional pictures (and the weather was very kind) and we got some cool stuff at NCH too. Also, these guys know how to party.

When it comes to getting hitched in a church, it doesn’t get more grand than Kirkstall Abbey really. Yeah it’s not got a roof… or windows… and it’s probably missing some doors and walls, but still… It’s grand. And a bit crumbling which sort of adds to the charm.
Craig (resplendent in tartan trew), was waiting patiently as Tasha made the really really long walk down the aisle to the waiting crowd who’d all been enjoying some fizz before she arrived. There were some excellent readings, some beautiful music, and a lovely ceremony conducted by one of their good friends. There were also a crowd of onlookers who were doing their best to peer in through the gate.
Groomsmen were on hand to dish out the celebratory drinks (and doughnuts!), and we had just enough time to do a few shots in the wonderful Kirkstall Abbey before we headed back on the bus to New Craven Hall.
There was some amazing food from the team at Hog and Apple, top notch emotional speeches, and the appearance of not only Donald trump (boo hiss!), but also David Attenborough (whoop whoop!).
There was a quiz, skittles, jenga, cocktails and dancing til the early hours. What a bloody great day!
MY HIGHLIGHTS
If you like a touch of the industrial, New Craven Hall is right up your street. It has a cool little outdoor seating area, a million fairy lights and is a hope skip and a jump from the city centre for those couples who wanna party til 5am!
