Kicking off 2026 with the news that I am included in the UK’s Top 50 Wedding Photographers 2026 – absolutely blown away and humbled that I made this incredible list of wedding photographers for the second time in my career.
I couldn’t have done it without all my amazing couples though. They are what keeps me striving for better images, alongside all the wonderful venues such as Wharfedale Grange, Solberge Hall, This Green Moon and Yorebridge house to name but a few.
2025 was incredible for many reasons, but also the sheer amount of amazing weddings at incredible venues was just the best. From a fancy black tie wedding with Oli and Claire at Solberge Hall, a gorgeous micro wedding at Grantley Hall, a festival wedding plus an autumnal wedding back at This Green Moon, to a beautiful elopement in a Michelin starred restaurant in North Yorkshire, a knees up in an actual brewery, a larger than life wedding in York Register Office and of course, my fave little micro weddings (far too many to mention) at the Leeds Civic Hall. And to top it all, my newphew’s mum got married and I got to run around being a photographer whilst simultaneously trying to enjoy myself!

As usual, this year was dominated by my fave wedding venue, The Leeds Civic Hall. I am now on first name terms with all the registrars and the amazing folk who run everything! I’ve passed through those amazing doors more times than I can mention, with micro weddings, big fat weddings who went onto party well into the night in Leeds, and I even managed a little gorgeous trip to photograph a cool couple get hitched amongst the books at Leeds Library.

2025 you were a blast!
I cannot wait to see what 2026 brings – so far I’m up and down the country in all kinds of places (hello Premiere Inn!), I’m heading to Norway for a wedding next to a fjord! I’m back at Solberge and Wharfedale Grange multiple times, I’m photographing the wedding for lead singer from New York Brass Band in York, heading for the Hepworth Gallery, back to Rudding Park, and then Leeds city bound. Because all the cool people are getting hitched at the Town Hall.
Let’s just say it: Town Hall weddings are having a bit of a moment. Gone are the days when a registry office do was seen as the ‘no frills’ option – these days, city-centre ceremonies are being reclaimed as chic, intimate, and refreshingly down-to-earth. Even Charli XCX tied the knot at Hackney Town Hall, rocking a corseted Vivienne Westwood number and proving that small and stylish beats big and bloated any day of the week.
