Papakata tipi and rustic barn wedding. By Toast of Leeds, Yorkshire wedding photography

It’s days like these that make me remember why I choose to be a wedding photographer. This is the rather delectable Alex and her fella Andrew who got hitched last week in the village where Alex grew up, followed by a proper knees up country style on the family farm. There was a rustic barn, a papa kata tipi, scarecrows, a soft top morris minor, the family pooch dressed in a bow tie, and a helicopter.. oh yes. It had it all going on. And guess what else? Sunshine! Yay! After months of rainy weddings, I finally got one where the day was glorious… although it didn’t stop me wearing my wellies all day long.

Alex and Andrew are the most laid back, warm hearted couple you could ever wish to meet. Also they are pretty photogenic between them. And surrounded by friends and family, they exchanged vows at the local church before celebrating in proper British style with a glass of Pimms or two in a field  complete with milk churns and hay bales to relax on. Alex looked amazing in her lace gown from the Vintage Wedding Dress Company in London, and her beautiful bridesmaids equally so in their long pleated French Connection dresses.

Congratulations to them both and thanks for letting me be part of your big day. x
