Let’s start with the obvious: the Civic Hall is just gorgeous. From the towering columns, to the golden owls watching over you, the architecture does a lot of the heavy lifting. I always encourage my couples to give themselves 10–15 minutes after the ceremony to have a bit of a wander (and breathe!) while we grab a few relaxed portraits. No awkward posing – just a stroll around Millennium Square, maybe a kiss on those big steps, and some shots that show off the setting.
Obviously, we’ll ensure we’re grabbing a confetti shot – not to mention a handful of pictures with your family and mates, but Leeds is full of amazing backdrops, so let’s utilise the Civic Hall for some awesome editorial vibe portraits before we take a wander through the streets for some cool urban stuff.

Whether it’s a private dining room at Three’s a Crowd, a down to earth sunshine filled visit to the rooftop bar at Headrow House, a long, lazy lunch at Ox Club, or the private club at Lost and Found, there’s no rule that says your wedding ‘reception’ has to include chair covers and a three-course meal. Keep it you, keep it local, and pick somewhere with your kind of vibe.
