There was many a tear shed at Lauren and Craig’s wedding. Tears by the bucketful. Let’s just say it was big fat emotional kinda day. If I’m honest, I was a little worried about Lauren… this is the girl who hates the camera more than anyone I know. Her mum is the same… So is her grandma… But, she rose to the challenge and would you look at that, she looks absolutely amazing. She was the perfect model.
Wearing her fabulous Ronald Joyce gown, she looked like a Greek goddess as she descended the grand staircase at Seaham Hall – then she promptly burst into tears as she walked down the aisle towards Craig. So much emotion. Within minutes, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Amid the tears, there was also lots and lots of laughter and the most amazing cake I’ve seen all year. Created by Abbie and Darren at Butterflies and Angels, it was a total work of art. Then there was the stripy sticks of rock (complete with one of the images from Craig and Lauren’s pre wed shoot), a photobooth and a sweetie bar (I do love strawberry jelly sweets! Nom)
Lauren’s brother Stephen not only did Father of the bride duty, he also provided the musical entertainment later on, giving everyone opportunity to strut their funky stuff and bash a tambourine or two.
Big thanks go to best man Dave who worked wonders with the formal shot list and to bridesmaids Rachel, Rebecca and Leah… not forgetting cute as a button Emma who won my hear the minute I saw her.
Congratulations to Lauren and Craig. x
