Classic english wedding, Northumberland. Healey Barn Wedding Photography

As a Healey Barn wedding photographer, I consider myself pretty bloody lucky. I get to travel all over the country and Europe shooting beautiful people, making memories at gorgeous weddings and partying with some incredible animals. When it comes to ticking all the boxes, Fran and Leo have it in spades. Not only are they bloody lovely and funny and gorgeous, but Leo brought his own band to play at the wedding – totally rock n roll. It gave a whole new meaning to air Guitar…. as Leo’s guests hoiked him aloft so he could play bass on their shoulders.

As well as their gorgeous ceremony in the vaulted ceiling of the Healey Barn, the weather was also on point. Sunshine was the order of the day and it was blue skies all round, romping in the field with the bridesmaids to take some images and making sure we mad full use of the Barns French inspired courtyard. Fran even let me drag her through a giant ants nest just so I could shoot some portraits in beautiful light.

I met Fran when I shot her sister’s wedding at Allerton Castle a couple of years back, so it was lovely to be reunited with all their family and see the new baby too.

As a Healey Barn Wedding Photographer, I can honestly say it is a fantastic wedding venue – gorgeous rustic beams, a beautiful courtyard and a bit of woodland too – massive shout outs to all the bridesmaids and groomsmen for letting me drag them into the field for some cool shots. Leo’s band were bloody incredible too – don’t think I’ve ever seen a groom crowd surf whilst playing bass guitar before!
