Holly & Anokh’s Beautiful Narnia Themed Winter Wedding at Left Bank.

When you’re planning a winter wedding, you’re probably thinking of candles, and fairy lights and christmas trees. You’re probably concerned about making it look like a winter wonderland straight from the pages of Narnia. Which is exactly what Holly and Anokh did for their beautiful wedding at Leeds’ Left Bank.

As a deconsecrated church, Left Bank, it has to be said, is a pretty impressive building. And, you can do everything under one roof because it’s so big! Ceremony, dinner, dancing… the lot! It’s a pretty perfect venue in my opinion.

One thing most couples don’t consider at a winter wedding however, is light. Because as a wedding photographer, my number one concern at a winter wedding, is light. As far as I’m concerned, your wedding photos should look like it did on the day… complete with ambience and candle light.

Yeah I could turn up and use flash on everything, but then it wouldn’t look like it did on the day, and I want you to remember it how it was.

Thankfully, I’ve been shooting weddings for so long now, that I can use off camera flash in the right way, so that you don’t even notice it. And when I do use flash, it’s not blasting everything in sight. Meaning that your wedding retains all the atmosphere and ambience that you remembered.

From saying I do, to speeches, to dancing, I’m trying to capture all that magic in my photographs, trying to retain all those special moments, so that you can look back on it in years to come with the biggest smiles ever!

Anokh and Holly had the most gorgeous wedding at Left Bank, and not only did it look pretty special, it was filled with warmth and happiness and fun from beginning to end. A doggy ring bearer, their cute daughter, wonderful family and crazy friends, ensured it was a day and night to remember.

Anokh looked handsome in his tartan suit, whilst Holly donned her trademark cape and hood… but this time it was a little bit special.

A huge thank you to them both for trusting me to shoot their day my way… to see their wedding in all its’ beautiful, twinkly lit, Narnia gloriousness!
