RELAXED RUSTIC FARM WEDDING, LEEDS, YORKSHIRE
Sam and Laura’s relaxed family farm marquee wedding in Leeds, Yorkshire
Sometimes you meet a couple and you know, in an instant, that they are completely and utterly in love. Like crazy in love. And as soon as I met Laura and Sam, I knew that they were mad about each other. These two had the most informal, laid-back, relaxed rustic country farm wedding you could ever have.
Firstly, all of Laura’s lovely bridesmaids had chosen their own dresses – which just goes to show that even if you’re not matching, it all works! Then Laura threw out her flower crown she’d ordered specially and opted instead for a single flower to enhance her grandmother’s vintage veil. Her father drove her to Adel Church for the ceremony in an amazing vintage E-Type Jag (my kinda car) where Sam was waiting nervously at the front of the altar.
Once the formalities were done and dusted, it was back to Laura’s family home for a big marquee knees up where their favourite Leeds restaurant were on hand to fill our bellies with amazing Italian food. But then the bus hired to deliver the guests got stuck in the field and had to be towed out of the mud… Still, it all makes for great stories to tell the grandchildren.
Thanks to both Sam and Laura for letting me hang out in a big field with them, to their bridesmaids and groomsmen for being great sports as they dragged them into a muddy field for photographs, and to their families for making me feel so welcome.
Here’s a few of my favourite shots of the day:
