I could shoot this girl all day long. Mel and Mas chose to get married in the rustic splendour of the Airedale Barn at East Riddlesden Hall, Yorkshire. I’m there pretty often these days and I know it like the back of my hand. The talented Lynnie at Stems Design had transformed the barn into a sumptuous wedding venue with her gorgeous wedding flowers, lanterns and copper accessories – very this season. I’m always amazed how different the barn looks for each wedding and represents each couple’s style and personality. And Mel’s wedding didn’t disappoint. Not only did she look incredible in her Catherine Deane gown and bespoke head piece but Mas brushed up pretty well too!
They chose to get hitched in front of the barn doors so lots of lovely natural light was beaming down on their faces and Lynne had made an incredible foliage swag and moss heart to frame them beautifully.
Great to work alongside Louise Rhodes and Lucy Smith for bridal hair and make up again too at the Old Registry in Howarth where the light is just amazing for bridal prep as Mel and her army of crazy bridesmaids primped and preened ready for the party.
The ceremony was simple and beautiful and a few tears were shed and a ton of confetti thrown too!
The awesome boys from the Hog and Apple kept us fed with their amazing grub and then it was time to party.
Thanks so much for Mel and Mas for having me along for the ride – I always love weddings where I get to feel like one of the guests rather than the hired help and their wedding was no exception.
Below are a few of my favourite shots of the day.
