Tessie & Dougie’s Cheshire Winter Wedding. Colshaw Hall Wedding Photographer

 

As a Colshaw Hall Wedding Photographer, it always amazes me how different each and every wedding is. Every couple puts their spin on their big day, whether that’s with flowers, or their style, their attention to detail or just the guests.

Tessie and Dougie opted for a beautiful winter wedding at Colshaw Hall, and rounded off 2018 in style. As a wedding photographer, I get to see all kinds of wedding gowns.. some sexy little sleek numbers, some big ass frou frou jobs, some simple lace affairs and some romantic back less gowns for the bold. But Tessie’s gown was probably my favourite of this year. And it suited the wedding to a tee. As the pair got hitched just after Christmas, I guess it was inevitable that Christmas trees would abound and fairy lights would be in abundance… I wasn’t wrong. Add to that Tessie’s amazing shimmering Emma Beaumont Attalier gown (complete with pockets and a split to the thigh!), well it was a pretty glitzy affair.

All the boys looked incredible handsome in their jet black tuxedos, whilst the flowers smelled amazing and made the whole room just a little bit festive – because the Christmas tree clearly wasn’t big enough!

On top of that, Tessie has a thing for flamingos at the minute and so the wedding cake (complete with gangly birds) was absolutely spot on. But I didn’t get to bloody eat it! Pah!

A beautiful ceremony with some gorgeous readings had us all shedding a tear and laughing aloud, followed by drinks, a few photos (thanks to Tessie and Dougie for braving the weather), and an amazing dinner.. oh the little egg and watering can dessert was amazing!

Then Tessie’s dad was on fire as he did his utmost to embarrass his daughter with his speech, and then the best men came armed with some amazing stories and a Spider Man mask and Fifa PS4 – I mean it doesn’t get better than that!

Some awesome magic, some fantastic singing, a quick change of footwear and then it was on to the best bit… the dancing! Party hard they said… Sure I said. And we did. Ah what a day.
