my personal fave images from 2024

As a Leeds Wedding Photographer, it feels like there is never a good time to post the best of the year images. There’s always the juggling act of getting the crowd pleaser images side by side with the more personal moments. And I don’t like to leave any of my couples out – although quite a few opted for NDAs or no Social media this year.

So instead, for my best of 2024, I’ve opted to choose the images that I personally love. They could be for all kinds of reasons – maybe it was a moment I was taken by, or the light that was in the frame, or a funny little thing that happened. I’m not sugar coating my collection this year and instead I’m going for warts and all so my couples can see what I really shoot at weddings.

I had lots of lovely little Leeds Civic Hall weddings this year. Some of them were teeny tiny elopements with a pint in the pub afterwards, and some were ceremonies with 100 guests and a massive knees up in a cool restaurant or bar in the city centre. All of them just as wonderful and glorious as a full on big wedding. Plus, I love shooting in Leeds city centre. There’s always something new to look at or a cool new backdrop to utilise. It’s been a whirlwind of travel, hotels, long drives & fun!

From shooting on the slopes of Austria, to seeing Solberge Hall come to fruition, its been a busy old year. I’ve hugged mums, danced with bridesmaids, been licked by doggy ring bearers, swept broken glass from dancefloors, been covered in perfume and spilled beer, and I cried six times watching my own nephew get hitched. As an Editorial Wedding Photographer, every year in this job brings something different and I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings!

2024 you were a blast!

It really was a fantastic year. I’ve shot at lots of amazing city Leeds venues including Angelica in Leeds, Shears Yard, and Lost and found alongst many others. I’ve been at my usual hang out Wharfedale Grange numerous times, had a trip back to Wales for a memorable wedding at Clifford Castle, flew over to austria to Lake Achensee for a snowy destination wedding, headed to Oxford for an epic celebration on a boat, and was back at the lovely Yorebridge House for a tiny elopement, finishing with an epic party at The Faversham and a little micro wedding at Wentbridge House on my birthday in December.
